 Fort Lauderdale fishing/ Daily blog
January 24, 2010
Today our Fort Lauderdale fishing took a strong turn to the positive (Jan 24). Sailfishing turned on this morning on a stiff Southeast wind. Actually caught us by surprise as yesterday conditions were great for Sailfishing, everybody was fired up, and we caught one Sail. Go figure. Today the Sailfish bit well and were on the move on a typically less than perfect wind. A good wind, but usually not as productive as today’s fishing results. Needless to say we are happy to see it. Kingfish are actually biting pretty well off the Galt Ocean Mile area in 80 to 120 feet of water. Dennis and the girls from Wisconsin had a ball catching these in the picture.
Blackfin Tunas continue to be caught in the same deeper water where we have found them all week. We are looking forward to getting out there tomorrow. The forecast is virtually identical to today’s conditions. Déjà Vu?
