 Ft. Lauderdale deep sea fishing remains on the upside. A nice strong northern running current has resulted in good inshore action and comfortable fishing conditions. A combination of good fishing and beautiful weather is hard to beat. We are seeing sailfish on the inside and all the way into 50 feet of water, These fish are moving south into the current and continue to be of good size. Our biggest was around 65# but somebody (hopefully us) is going to catch one that is 80 or better in the next few weeks. There are big ones around in April and May and they can take some line off a reel in a hurry. And the Sails aren’t the only big fish around as you can see by that Kingfish pictured. He is pushing 50 pounds. Live bait is the key for the big Kings and Sailfish. Trolling continues to be the best way to catch the most fish with Kings, Mahi-Mahi, Bonito, and a few Tuna and Wahoo hitting the fish box. We expect this good fishing to continue. There of course will be slower days but fishing will remain strong for action fishing with enough big ones around to keep it exciting. It’s a great time of year for Ft. Lauderdale deep sea fishing
