 Here is our Ft Lauderdale deep sea report for this past week. It has been influenced by a very bright full moon and some windy conditions affecting our offshore fishing charters.
There are a few Dolphin in our area and they are close in due to the wind over the last several days. They are finicky due to the moon and a frisky live Pilchard or a meticulously rigged Ballyhoo seem to get the most attention. Sailfish are on the reefs, but not in any numbers. Kingfish are pretty tough with again the moon, but also clear water being factors. Catchable but scattered bites. Snappers seem willing to bite on most days and we are catching some nice Blackfin Tunas by trolling. Bait is beginning to move more and more into our area and the fall Shrimp run will begin very soon. Both of these developments are positive for Ft Lauderdale deep sea fishing options.
