Our Fort Lauderdale fishing weather has left us out in the cold so to speak the last two days as the wind associated with the cold (cool) front had the ocean all riled up. Rough seas obviously put a damper on charter fishing. A reprieve from the wind allowed us to sneak out there today and the catch was some King Mackerel and Amberjack. We also released this Barracuda back into the deep sea.
The ocean out front is still a bit choppy but we will be able to fish as long as we stay clear of the Gulfstream as those deep sea fishing areas are still rough. We did notice today that quite a bit more bait has moved into the area with the passing of the frontal system. This is always a plus and we look forward to more bait arriving into our Ft. Lauderdale fishing areas as the now common fronts continue to affect our fishing weather. |
