Our Fort Lauderdale fishing report still has some bright spots but the overall picture has dimmed somewhat. Wahoo are again on the menu as these speedsters are right out front of our inlet and available to our charter boat customers on either trolled or live bait offerings in 200-300 feet of water. There was a good catch just above us off Pompano Beach. Great fish and we are happy to see them in our area. The less than perfect aspect of this report is the Dolphin and Sailfish bite, as it has slowed considerably. We did manage one Sailfish on the Marlin My Darlin today, but they are very scattered and a far cry from the past weeks fishing. No Dolphin for us today.Dirty water didn’t help things and coupled with a lessening of the north current we started the day with at least one strike against us. The water did clear up some this afternoon and we did manage that one Sail out of two Sailfish bites. Four Kingfish and some Bonitos rounded out our day. Not the end of the world but fewer fish than we would like. Hopefully the Wahoo stay around and the rest of the offshore gang decides to be a bit more accommodating. We would certainly like to give you a more diversified Fort Lauderdale fishing report next time.
