 Fort Lauderdale fishing/ Daily Blog
April 2-6, 2010
Fort Lauderdale fishing boats had mixed bags the last few days. Hammerhead sharks continue to be found in the deeper water. We average better than one per ˝ day when we target them. Amberjack fishing continues to be very productive (Paul and the boys pictured) and some of these fish are belter than 40#s. We had a couple of Sailfish and the Mai-Mai continue to be only an occasional catch. We are beginning to see more big Kingfish on the live baits. These big King Mackerel are a favorite of ours as they have some real power, and often launch (“skyrocket”) themselves to better than 10 feet into the air on the bite. Snapper and Grouper are back on the menu as the season re-opened on the 1st
