Our Fort Lauderdale fishing Charters had a strong day again today. Thirteen Mahi-mahi this morning and one for two on Sailfish bites. We had what we call a “shared charter” this morning with four anglers. John and Dan were what we term “singles”, meaning they were each booked as a single person and Pete and Kelly were actually a pair, but in reality a per person “shared” rate charter. Four anglers, Capt. Kopper and first mate Lawrence rounded out the charter. We organize a lot of shared charter trips and they can be a lot of fun. This afternoon we had Al and the boys in his band, KC, Dave, Lee and Fish and they caught two Skipjack Tunas and five Mahi-Mahi. Although they caught fewer fish they did land the biggest Mahi-Mahi of the day at 53 inches. That is a nice Mahi-Mahi. Continued brisk easterly winds giving the ocean a little rock and roll, but not too rough to fish and obviously the fish are here . Less than perfect conditions for a Fort Lauderdale Fishing Charter, but fishing is good. It’s warm and the sun is out. Tight lines. |
