Our Fort Lauderdale fishing boat report has some good news and also some not so perfect news for those of you following our postings. The good news is that we are catching some nice sized Dolphin (fish). That is Mary pictured who lives here and went with her husband of 43 years Joe on a shared (split) charter. He was very happy to see his wife reel in the biggest Dolphin. 43 years will put you there and that’s the place to be, according to Joe. Actually I already knew that, but Joe is a very spry and obviously sharp 73 year old, and he reaffirmed my conclusions. Ladies always go first boys, especially the better half. Period. A successful marriage and a successful charter operation have several things in common, one of which is experience. I think Joe and I are on the same page. Deep Sea Snappers filled out the catch as they were biting well on our favorite spot. Amanda and Bob who drove in from Naples (west coast of Florida / no Gulfstream fishing over there) were the other half of the shared charter and they took a bunch of Snapper and Dolphin fillets home also. The not so wonderful news is that we struggled with the Kingfish today and we really felt we would see a Sailfish or two as the weather and the offshore fishing conditions were right. Good fishing anyway, but we love those Sailfish. Maybe a Sailfish or two on the Marlin My Darlin for our next Fort Lauderdale fishing boat report if conditions remain favorable offshore. |
