My boats are having strong catches on Kingfish now that the full moon has passed. Fort Lauderdale fishing for Kingfish on these warm summer days produces the most consistent action with baits that are fished below the surface where water temperatures are a bit cooler and more comfortable not only for the Kings but other species as well. This holds true for trolling as well as live-baiting. These are fun fish to catch large or small, and we are always happy when the bite is on. Fully grown Bonito are mixed in and every day still a chance for a Sailfish. Mai-Mai continue to be elusive with only a few available. We had a Swordfish hooked up but pulled him off during a daytime deep drop out in 1800 feet. He was a good fish and Andrew was having difficulty in moving him. Missed a second bite. Can’t catch them all, but it sure would be nice. We’ll get him next time. Ft. Lauderdale offshore fishing for Swordfish is a great opportunity to catch a spectacular fish.
