We’ve mentioned in our reports how the last few years, fishing for Dolphin has been better in the fall than the summer in Fort Lauderdale. Ben and Tim from California found this to be true the other day as they stopped by to spend the day fishing with us.
A trip to the anchor balls for some Ballyhoo set up our day of fishing. A calm day with bright skies and an edge of water that had current and color change in it allowed us a nice catch of the ever popular Mahi-mahi.
Along with our full box of fish, both anglers caught and released Sailfish which also have been active as of late.
We hope to receive some in the water shots from these boys, they said they caught the Sailfish out of the water. The picture taken at the dock doesn’t have the usual big smiles on their faces. I think they were a little tired.
Dolphin and Sailfish sure can make a day of fishing great in Fort Lauderdale.
