 Fort Lauderdale fishing
This first week of June Fort Lauderdale fishing was all about Dolphin (Dorado, Mahi-Mahi). Lots of schoolie sized dolphin are passing thru our area. This is fast fishing with multiple hook-ups and makes for many a good Fort Lauderdale charter fishing trip. We like to see the Dorado and they are finally here in good numbers. Sometime the smallest of fish can bring the biggest of smiles. That is Chris and Robin with a Dorado and Tuna from an afternoon’s catch. Most of the schools we are seeing are inside of 700 feet. Some bigger fish and also occasional schoolies in deeper water. Strong current has brought clean blue Gulfstream colored water to the edge of the reef on many days. Kingfish, Tunas, Bonitos, Dorados and a few more Sails. The current has also got everything compressed closer to shore which makes our job of bending the rods a little easier. Shortens the playing field so to speak.
