 Fort Lauderdale Fishing.
Continued good fishing here in Fort Lauderdale. The water has been a bit choppy the last three days, but this has helped the catching part of the equation. Really big Kingfish on live bait. The best presentation is by kite fishing. Still some Sailfish biting on both live and dead bait as a result of the breezy weather. Amberjack fishing actually slowed down, which is unfortunate as we have come to expect quick bites from them when wreck fishing. Still able to catch them, but we are waiting longer between bites. Hammerhead sharks are still here but they are a bit more scattered the last couple of days also. The better news is there are more good sized Dorado (Mai-Mai) and fat Blackfin Tunas biting. Caught a couple of Dorados in the low 20’s to go with some smaller ones. Pictured is one of the JD boys on their latest trip with a real nice Tuna caught off the kite. They live here in town and promised that one would be on the grill by sunset.
