Fort Lauderdale deep sea fishing is a bit on the slow side with the exception of some great Spinner Shark fishing due to the full moon. We are experiencing beautiful sunny days and calm sea conditions. A nice gentle wind off the ocean has kept it cooler and comfortable. Trouble is the fishing is on the cool side also. A fish here and a fish there with long intervals in between. We are trying to make every hit count. The good news is the Spinner Sharks are biting and biting well on certain tides. These little guys (a big one is 40 #s ) are a lot of fun and we catch them on light tackle, so they do resist being caught with some strong runs and an occasional spinning jump. As we stated, Fort Lauderdale fishing is on the slower side in general, but there are these stocky sharks ready to take a bait and have at it, and they really are ready to have at it in an aggressive way. |
