 Fort Lauderdale charter fishing
Sunday, December 1, 2009
Today (Dec 1st) was a beautiful day in South Florida. Fortunately we had the opportunity to enjoy the day offshore and do a little Fort Lauderdale charter fishing with Mr. & Mrs K who had reserved the Marlin for a deep sea trip. Sometimes a stunning day and a lack of wind combine to make fishing a little (or a lot) tough. The Marlin managed to catch and successfully release two nice Sailfish on spinning tackle. Some smaller Tuna rounded out the catch. Gave it a go for a Blue Marlin out in the deep. Beautiful purple/blue water, decent current. Looking good. Andrew set out a nice spread of lures on the heavier tackle and it looked good back there, especially the left corner, which he set up with “Alice”, a cut faced Hawaiian lure that has been inside more than a few Blue Marlin mouths. “Alice” made it safely back into the lure box today without getting roughed up. We‘ll give her another shot at getting a Blue Marlin’s attention another day.
