Ft Lauderdale fishing charters
Monday, February 8, 2010
Today (Feb 8) we decided to get out on the rip and have our lines in the water by 7 AM.
Our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters today consisted of visitors from Mississippi,
New Jersey and Maryland. All these folks were in town for the Superbowl, and all were
Saints fans, so everybody was in a great mood from the “git/go” ( I learned that today).
Our efforts were directed primarily at Kingfish today. The Sailfish have been very quiet for three days now with the passing front so we directed our attention on the Kingfish as the bite on them has been steadily improving every day. We had good action and although many fish were smaller they were certainly willing. We kept our ears tuned to the VHF radio in hopes of some Sailfish activity but there was none in our area. A few Sails about 25 miles up the line and although that did us no good today it shows that those fish are beginning to bite as the front continues south. Lots of Kingfish and a few Bonito out front of Ft Lauderdale today.
