 Fort Lauderdale fishing/ Daily blog
January 17-20, 2010
Our Fort Lauderdale fishing has taken a turn to the slower side the last several days (Jan 17-20th). We have still managed some sailfish action on most days but the bite has become scattered in various depths. Blackfin Tuna are again roaming offshore in 300 to 500 feet of water and there are some Skipjack Tuna mixed in with these schools. Kingfishing has remained slow on the inshore reefs, although we did manage a few. There are a few Hammerhead Sharks out in 200 to 400 feet. This is the first we have seen of these fish in a while. Dolphin are few and far between and the Amberjacks are available, but again the bite has been erratic. When we can catch them they are running between 30 to 40 lbs.
