Fort Lauderdale fishing once again proved if you want to have some fun, a fishing trip in January is a great way to spend a little time in the sun. My Fort Lauderdale charter boats
had excellent catches thru the 16th. Sailfish continue to be our targeted / go to fish, and we have been fortunate to locate then on a regular basis. The majority of the fish are holding inside of 200 feet of water and are being caught on live bait. We have caught fish on ballyhoo fished out of the riggers, but a live Goggle Eye suspended from a fishing kite has been drawing the most bites. Youngsters Joe, Justin, and Mark all caught Sails on a successful trip with their dad. And let’s not leave out the girls. Congratulations to Teresa and also Deanne for successful catch and releases of their first Sailfish on their respective fishing trips, all aboard Marlin My Darlin.
