Fishing in Ft. Lauderdale has been fun as we reach the end of September and our forecast for today is for 4 to 6 inches of rain associated with a small disturbance coming up out of the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Straits. The great news is of course that it is not a Hurricane. For sure it’s bad luck to even say that word. I think we will be taking today off which is OK with first mate Andrew as he could use a little rest. To be in your 20s again, good looking, AND get to fish every day……Sleep in Andrew. Those were the days / at least I still get to go deep sea fishing every day. Some really good fishing yesterday as my boats caught quite a few Blackfin Tunas and a nice Wahoo. Throw in a handful of Kingfish and Skipjack Tuna and there you have it. We will of be getting a bit of wind out of this tropical system as well, but it is projected to pass thru quickly. We’ll give this weather a day or two and get you another report about what is happening with fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale.
