Ft. Lauderdale’s first cold front stirred the up the fishing this week. Windy conditions had the seas running at 2-4 feet today, resulting in an occasional rocking for the crew and passengers, but certainly very fishable. A choppy condition often results in better fishing and today was no exception. Kingfish bit very well on the deep lines. Gaffer size Dolphinfish (Dorado) were just off the edge in small groups of less than five fish. Sailfish are beginning to show along the reef line, but we had no chances at them today. Most Ft Lauderdale charter fishing boats worked the areas between 90 and 200 feet for the most success. A good day of fishing.
