Our fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale are providing some opportunities to catch some great fish. Sunday we had the pleasure of fishing Justin Kelsey and his group of friends in town for a little fun and spirits (bachelor party). Possibly a little too much fun Sat. nite, but then they were right on time, nice and early, and ready to have at it. Kingfish and Mahi-Mahi have been in town as well and the past few days have given us some really good fishing aboard Marlin My Darlin. Sunday was no exception and Captain Kopper and first mate Lawrence had a good day in store for Justin and the boys. The high point(s) of the trip were two fully grown Sailfish. These fish were caught using live bait (Goggle-eyes) while kite fishing. If you have yet to experience kite fishing in South Florida you might want to add it to your Bucket List. Kite fishing in Ft. Lauderdale and the Miami area revolutionized Sailfishing. We do it all the time and it really never grows old watching a Sailfish rise up and take a live bait off the surface as the bait struggles to escape but really has no chance if the Sailfish is hungry. No chance as in “zero”. If the fish wants that live bait he will get it. Every time. Fishing is strong across the board right now. Lots of variety. So come on down and experience something quite possibly totally new to you, and climb aboard the Marlin for a fishing charter in Ft. Lauderdale. Jason did. He will be back, he’s had a taste now. |
