Deep sea fishing in our Ft. Lauderdale area continues to be productive. We are catching good numbers of Kingfish when fishing the reef lines. Just off the edge and out to 500 feet we are seeing Blackfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna and an occasional Wahoo. Pictured is a nice one @ the cleaning station which is where most Wahoo catches end up as they are great eating. We have an approaching cool front that may liven up Sailfishing. The next couple of days the forecast is for North to Northeast winds and this time of year we like those conditions. Swordfishing offshore has been very good for the daytime trips, but the wind associated with the frontal system could make the Gulfstream choppy. We don’t expect the winds to be strong enough to cause us to miss any of our typical deep sea Ft. Lauderdale fishing charters. |
