Deep sea fishing in Ft. Lauderdale can be great… So can the nightlife. Having the nightlife follow a day of fishing? Just fine… The reverse is not always wanted however.
We had 3 guys from all over with us today. A company outing with 3 boats involved. Seas were choppy, about 2-3’ and fishing was slow, but we managed a few nice fish anyway.
Trolling is still the best way to catch fish right now with our unseasonably warm weather and we caught a Kingfish fairly quickly. With a slight turn back onto shore, one live came down with a nice Dolphin hooked to it. A little prospecting from the highline found the Bull Dolphin of the pair and both these fish were landed.
But for one customer, the exertion of fighting the fish had overstressed his already depleted body from the night before. And after a few more Kings with some lulls in between fish, we headed home early.
They were still all smiles at the dock with a pair of nice Mahi-mahi’s and a few Kings.
