 Ft Lauderdale deep sea fishing has been yielding some real nice Tunas and a few Sailfish lately. These Tuna are Blackfins and are a good hard fighting fish and excellent table fare. Occasional fish over 20# keep our interest as a Blackfin Tuna at 20# or better can pull plenty hard. The Sailfish are mixed in with the Blackfins (and Bonito) and are up at the edge of the reefs early in the morning. There have been Wahoo in the area but our efforts to catch one yesterday only resulted in a second Wahoo releasing our hooked one by nailing a lure that had slid up the leader as the first fish ran off. Tough luck, but it happens. So much for the bad luck. Our very best luck is all those hurricanes bending away from our area. Hardly even any extra rain for us. Knock on wood/ those storms continue to keep tier distance/ and we will happily keep on deep sea fishing and targeting thoseTunas and Sailfish
