Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report, Charter Fishing Fort Lauderdale
| Charter Fishing Fort Lauderdale |
Today the Tunas showed up just off the edge of the outside reef. To put this in perspective in regards to our Fort Lauderdale fishing charters this is 11/2 miles offshore in roughly 300 feet of water. These fish are moving fast and an increased trolling speed is typically in order to draw the best bite. They were not showing themselves before the strike, but we found them on current edges. An inshore reef again had an easy limit of Kingfish and lots of the hard fighting Bonito (Little Tunny).Released several Barracudas again today. These folks were from Moscow. No Sailfish today, but they did get one for their son on their first charter with us a week back. Big schools of Spanish Sardines in 80-130 feet of water are driving the Bonito wild and fully expected to see a Sailfish or two in the bait schools but it didn't happen. There were probably some there, but the Bonito are extremely aggressive and quick to take our baits.
